Problem solved.

The first tire place who gave me free spacers gave me some shaved and warped spacers. They never told me what they did. They insisted it was for bmw's. See the pic below.

Added hr 5mm spacers in the front and no more wobble...

Here is the messed up spacer

Here is a photo of the 5 series. My m sport bumpers and skirts are arriving soon.

Default X-Drive Fitment

Hey all,

I’m new to the forum and this is my first post so apologies if I’m doing anything out of the ordinary here.

The OP was inquiring about 235/35/ZR19 & 265/30/ZR19 Style 166 fitment for his 530i.

I just purchased Style 166 replica wheels with the exact same tires on for my 535xi. I’ve seen several posts recommending 245/40/ZR19 & 275/35/ZR19 for my specific car but I’m hoping these tires will work. Both rims are ET 40.

Can anyone with experience share some insight?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, fitments (i.e. offsets) for "i" and "xi" cars are different. I also have an AWD E60 and our fitments are in the ET 35-45 range. The 166 wheels you have (BMW wheel style 166 | BmwStyleWheels.com) are probably ET 12 front, ET 28 rear. Basically, the lower the number, the more the wheel sticks out. The higher the number the more the wheel sits inside the wheel well. Rims with too low an offset can cause troubles with the outside edge of the tire rubbing on the fender or wheel well. Wheels with too high an offset can be fixed with spacers. In your case, you are SOL -- you'd have to roll the fenders to keep them from rubbing. I have that style on my xi, but I had to go with replicas because they don't make OEM for our fitment.

I know that sucks but the good news is that Style 166 is very popular and you should not have any problem selling them. May I suggest that you look into Style 135? (BMW wheel style 135 | BmwStyleWheels.com) They look very similar and come in our fitment.

I definitely should have mentioned that mine are replicas as well. I don’t have too many details on the sizing, other than they’re both ET40. So if I had my fenders rolled would this Fitment work?

They will work. You can get 5 mm spacers for front and rear if you feel.
A more ideal tire size would be 245 in front and 275 rear, that would be stock sizing
Plus sizing the sidewall to 40 and 35 is possible.
But the setup you have will fit no problem with 40ET
