Default Help with wheel offset

Good morning
So I have a 2006 525i I have found some own 18" rims to replace my 17" so I understand the "IS" number is the offset and the current wheel I have is 20 and the new IS is 50 will there be a problem with fitment?

This link may give you some guidance. BMW 5 Series 2006 - Wheel & Tire Sizes, PCD, Offset and Rims specs - Wheel-Size.com.

Wheel offset is generally designated as "ET" and is generally stamped on the back of OEM rims as such. I'm not sure what "IS" refers to, unless that's what your wheel manufacturer calls it. As noted, the proper offset for your vehicle is ET 15, so if you have "20", I guess that works, but "50" definitely will not.

The second rim is Style 135, which does come with a 50 offset in OEM, but is intended for the M3. It also comes in ET 20, which, if the IS # is any indication, this ain't it. My guess is that the IS 50 won't fit your 525i.
