I am about to buy tires for my 166 w/ M6 offset. I am gonna get 245/35/19 + 275/35/19 rear... @ RACERBOSS ... with coilovers lowered 1-1.2 all around should I expect rubbing using the 35 series as opposed to the 30 on the rear? As we have talked about in the past protection of the wheel seems to have me leaning more towards the 35. what do you guys think?

Platinum Metalic Gray, Black Dakota Comfort pkg, Cold weather pkg.
Thanks bud, I appreciate the lightining response. I so want to do the Koni Shocks and the Eibach springs to drop my car 1 inch all over but just keep debating the pros and cons in my mind.
With the 40 profile tire in the front, my car gained half an inch height and with that height I rarely rub my front lip spoiler, reducing the height by 1 inch might make the rarely rub into frequently rub
Etc etc etc

My car is having OEM suspensions only, will they rub the wheel well/fender for 275/40/19(F) and 275/35/19(R)?
Looks like the tire shop is smarter than many (lol)
I have gone over this with atleast 50 people now and I am not sure if I can type a whole lot but lets see.
This is what happens with a 35 series tire
1. The tire will fill the fender -- Ohh Yeah it is a HALF inch beefier on any side (Since its a circle, everywhere)
2. The car will feel more soft and the suspension would be much more glidy, WHY ?
Because by using the 35 series tire you raise your car to be higher at the back and lower at the front. So what this does is that it takes the weight away from the rear suspension and transfers it over to the front suspension.
Dont ask me how is that but think about it and it will sart making sense to you.
Car will encounter increased dive when braking etc etc etc
Lets look at the best part -- It runs a SMOOTH ride, with less tire noise and better wheel protection -- Thats something everyone should care about.
Bottom line
RUN 35 series on your rear, there are superb!!!!

yes, no reason you should be running a 275/40/19 in the front. You can get away with 245/40 or even a 255/35 if you are really itching for a "wider" tire but no reason to even consider a 275/40.

I figured it might be a typo..Im running 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 with H&R Sport springs and hardly get any rubbing, only slightly when I hit a big dip with good speed. I think if my wheel offsets werent so aggressive I wouldnt rub at all, and a fender roll would probly eliminate all rubbing as well...

No damage at all from the rubbing, its very slight just kind of annoying. Its like a "chirp" not like a rub/clunk sound like you would here on a full blown "rub". I had factory non-sport with the same setup and would rub almost the same as now but like I said its only on BIG bumps with good speed, specifically right by my house there is a bump I have to hit every day and its basically a V in the road (like a reverse speed bump basically) and the sudden change of pavement jolts the suspension every time but if I slow down to about 15 (which its right before my turn anyways) from the normal 40 speed limit I dont rub at all...just a pure personal detailed experience lol but you have to factor in my offsets front and rear are 13 which is because my wheels are from an LCI 650i and are super aggressive on the E60. I think a normal 18-22 offset would eliminate the rubbing all together, but I like my wheels and I will probly just roll the fenders to eliminate my rub...

Yup pretty much everybody is running 275/35/19 on rears and so am I I like it, it is a smoother ride and not too bumpy, 30's will fit and look better on size 20 inch rims... Good luck
