I just received a phone call from BMWNA who told me they had been monitoring an "internet forum" when they came across my post. They asked me about my experience, and then they offered me a gift certificate to be used on BMW accessories on their website.
I bet that made you special

Good to know they're listening

If they read all of your posts, they probably figured it was easier to make you happy than to risk a few gallons of smoothie being thrown over their new carpet at BMWNA headquarters. Or, of course, running the risk that you'd clog up their toilet

Seriously - good result Craig, and nice work from BMWNA

Glad it worked out with the dealer but what is up with this pump problem. Anybody know about what percentage of 535s are affected by this issue and whether it can really be repaired since there seem to be recurring breakdowns. I have had a 535 as a loaner and loved it but I am not looking for a lemon law type problem with a BMW. Is it a first year thing or does the 09 have similar problems. Better to go with CPO 550? Or Audi, Infiniti, Lexus? What are the causes of the pump failures?
Thanks for thoughts, as always.

I'm still curious what type of investigation they use to find out whos who online...

How much was the gift certificate? Sounds like it was quite a bit... enough to buy a New 535? LOL

Really quite easy ... Date of birth from profile; ping IP address ... turn 3x to the left then hop twice on right foot. The Feds do this all the time ...
