Default Upgrade BMW E60 535i brakes with M5 brakes

Hi does anyone know if you can upgrade BMW 535i 2008 brakes, caliper and rotors with M5 complete brakes, calipers and rotors ???? If so do they just bolt on ???

Thank you much....

The fronts are direct bolt on, rotors and calipers. The rears require a hub change to get the rotors to fit.

Honestly the size difference between the stock rear 535 and M5 rear calipers is so tiny. I do not think it's worth the hassle for just drilled rotors on the rear.

yea the difference is really minimal. 535i already has very large brakes for it's size. I would just do cross-drilled and ceramics and call it an easy day.

the stopping performance is actually a good improvement once you stop on a car with the m5 brake setup. then once you get monoblocks you won't want to go back at all.

You could swap them over but it might upset the balance of the car.

I don't have first hand experience with either company. I have friends that have used EBC's on various cars and said they were very good but perhaps not worth the price. They really weren't hard core racers or anything. They would occasionally hit 100 MPH or so on the highway.

I think the company of drilled rotors and ceramic pads I have is a generic brand powerstop or powerslot or something like that. They perform well. As with any ceramic pad, when it's cold outside the brakes will squeal lightly for the first couple of stops, not a huge deal unless you have OCD. There is almost ZERO brake dust which is great since I have white wheels.
