BMW has announced six new models as it targets 1.8m global sales by 2012, and a fourth brand is still on the agenda.
BMW will add a third model to its X-series luxury 4WDs with the X1 (artist's illustration shown). As the name suggests, the baby off-roader will sit beneath the X3 and X5. A Mini 4WD, the most affordable Rolls-Royce yet, and a range-topping four-door based on BMW's Concept CS form part of a new-model boom designed to push BMW Group sales to 1.8 million by 2012.
