Hi everybody,
My name is Jonathan from rotherham South Yorlshire, UK. I'm a frequent forum goer and have just picked up an e61 525i as a bit of a multipurpose car. I'm not a very big fan of people carrier/ mini suv cars and always fancied an estate so the bmw fitted the bill perfectly.
I run my own detailing business which I previously ran a van for and had a jaguar s type r (4.2 supercharged v8) but I've now got rid of both to have one that does everything as me and the wife are expecting our first child soon and our income will lower meaning one of the many cars we have between us had to go.
My findings so far- lovely car to drive. I've never owner a bmw but I'm starting to see why theybare called the ultimate driving machine. The handling is supurb for a standard car. I'm really into my mazda mx5s which I've owned for years and they have always been a fun car but the bmw is a more grown up fun car. It's a high miler, 145,000 but everything seems to work fine. Just a few bits im going to make look good and then just drive her.

Welcome to the forum, Jonathan! Be sure to post pictures of your touring when you get her all detailed up and be sure to check out the threads in the E61 part of the forum.
Congratulations to you and your wife on the expected arrival! Then you'll have TWO babies to take care of, lol!

Thanks for the welcome!
I started detailing her today. Wow the paint is hard. I spent around 2 hours correcting the bonnet. I also didn't realise just how big they were when I decontaminated the car.
