My Ride: E61 535 & an E30
Default Another E61 comes to Atlanta

Hello everybody!

I finally pulled the trigger and got myself a dad wagon. After stuffing the kid into the back of the E30 for 3 years and not having a car newer than 15 years old in the house it was time.

I had been searching around between A4, E350 and E61 wagons for quite some time and had started to think about other options, sedans that contained the letters M, S or AMG. The only issue with was I really wanted a wagon, I just couldn't bring myself to feel it was OK to stuff the dog in the back seat with the kid. So after almost giving up hope on my wagon dream, a descent specimen pop up on Autotrader not too far from my house so I jumped on it.

So far after a little under a week of ownership I am really enjoying this car. It's no E30 but getting the kid in and out is much less of a chore and this thing scoots for being so big, The only thing I am not looking forward to is the car payment after not having one in 10 years.

With out further ado I give you my 2010 535i xDrive Sport in Black Sapphire Metallic.

*sorry in advance for the cell phone pics

Hi Junger

Nice E30! ill post some pictures of mine. what mods do you have on it? Here's an old picture from around 2003 of my modded iS (still have it) and my '91 iX I had (kick myself every day for selling it). I think this picture was taken right before I put H&R/Koni on the iX.

Likewise KyleB, and thanks,
Do you happen to be on r3v as well?

Mine is an '89 325is, here are some of the items I have bolted on
Borbet Type Bs from way back
Recaro LSCs w/fishnets
M3 Rear Seat
Black hounds tooth door cards from an early model
Husco Arm Rest
BavAuto Ceramic coated headers and mid pipes
Remus Cat back
Rear tow/camber adjustment kit
Billy Sports with FK springs
Hella smoked smilies
MHW smoked tails
Euro bumper trim
M Tech 1 rear spoiler
M3 control arm bushings
RD sways
M coupe rear diff cover
E36 M3 steering rack swap
Massive's Street BBK

ToDo
Swap in euro cluster and fix ODO
rebuild / swap engine
black headliner

Hanging around here is going to make me want to spend some money in the E61 so it may take some time for me to get the last items for the E30 completed.

good luck with the 5er, always nice to encounter other E30 enthusiasts. Good luck with your motor if you ever get to it, I built a high compression 2.9L for mine and it's a blast to drive. Not cheap to do but it's worth it.

I am seriously leaning that way. Saving funds now In hopes that next spring I can start a new project thread on r3v. That is as long as I leave the wagon alone, which maybe a tough task hanging around here.
