Mr. M&M has pulled out. So, that leaves us back at 9. I'm going to give it another couple days, but may up buying a third set as an investment so we can get this show on the road.

OK - good news!
As soon as I posted the last response, I called RD and spoke directly w/ the rep who's been assisting me. Here's the upshot of the conversation:
1) Regarding the reported failures, while a central cause could not be pin-pointed, the failures are limited to M5's which are a different, more complicated bend pattern because of oil pan clearance. Moreover, the number of failures is < 1% of the total number of bars sold. Even further, RD is now requiring Materials Certifications for all components they procure.
Like I alluded to previously, being an engineer myself, my suspicion is that these instances are due to factors other than the design and my $0.02 is that I'm confident in the bars' suitability for our application.
2) Production time is "to be on the safe side, approximately 30 days" (!!)
3) The rep and I are reconnecting Monday to get the order dialed in.
To make things as simple as possible for RD, I will have the entire order shipped to me and I will then dole them out as I receive remittance from each of you (your prompt compliance will be much appreciated!).

Almost impossible to tell you at this point. Depends on the following:
- cost of shipment from RD to me
- cost of shipment from me to you (as I don't know where you live)
- whether you factored in Paypal fees when you sent your deposit (I will factor it in on the final transaction)
Conservatively, I'd budget another $50 beyond the original figure.

Damn - I wish I could say that I have an update. But all that's been happening over the last week is phone/email tag (mostly on my part). I honestly have no clue why it's so damn difficult to make an almost $5k sale...
