Why didn't my car come with red rear reflectors?

the issue about how they look apart...
red reflecters do work well at night, its like having an extra set of tail lights when being followed by another car.
a few people i know with M sport rear bumpers (myself included) have added red reflecters (aftermarket types) to the bumper, purely for safty...if it was the clean / smooth look, then those big tail lights would have to go also

yeah , much cleaner to have some ashy black piece of plastic compared to an OEM piece.
