As per the title, I am drawing up details of my next car even though I wont change it til next year. My question relates to the suspension - I am happy with the ride and handling of my current car - an E60 MSport - and want a similar suspension setup on my next car. Many road tests were critical of SE models without either VDC or adaptive drive when the F10/F11 first came out but I haven't read if these comments still apply to the MSport equiped cars without VDC or adaptive drive.

What I don't know is how the suspension on the F11 SE and MSport compare to my car. Further made more complicated as I might be inclined to go for an SE with sports suspension if it were available, which of course it isn't unless you add VDC to give a sports setting (VDC being available on 520d and 525d and adaptive drive on 530d and 535d).

Any views on how the suspension and handling set ups on the F11 compare to my 525d MSport are welcome from those who have also moved from an E60 to F10/11.

How do the following compare;

1. F11 SE to E60 MSport - I expect it to be softer
2. F11 SE with VDC to E60 MSport - is it as good in Sport+ mode?
3. F11 MSport to E60 MSport - Is it as good?

My E60 has 19 inch wheels with non-run flats.

It goes without saying that I want something that handles at least as good as my E60.

Thanks.
