Model Year: 2012
I am slowly coming to the point that I will have to change my glorious 530i Touring LCI. The leasing will expire end of September thus I am more and more thinking if and in case what to get as replacement.
I was thinking a 535i (I love the right/left exhaust pipes) but on the other hand the 528i seams to be a more reliable engine without the turbo and its possible problems. However I am a bit afraid to loose a bit of torque and speed and acceleration compared to my E61.
What would you recommend and anybody knows whether we should expect a 550i Touring in the near future or this model has been abandoned by BMW?

Hi Marco, hope you're doing fine!
The 528 is nice, but as it has slightly lower output and needs to carry 100 kilos more... and the fact that the F11 is quieter and more comfortable... makes me believe you will not be impressed with this engine version. Actually, coming from a 530i the 535i my take is that it's the only alternative if you will stay with petrol engines.
Also note that the 535i is not the same as the first x35i engines, so you cannot really compare the two - more than the both are turbo powered.
