So the none of the F10s have a spare tire in the trunk!?!? Or even a spot for one? But the E60s did...? That's weird. Is this true for EU models as well as US models?

What other BMWs do not have space for a spare tire in the trunk? Why does BMW do this?

-Sorry for all the questions.. I find this odd.

Unfortunately not, there is no place under the carpet, you have to strap it down on top of the carpet in the actual trunk space.

None of the new cars will have a space for a spare, BMW considers it unnecessary. We were lucky in the E60 simply because 2 tires sizes (16 and 19) came with non runflats from the factory.

Good to know. Seems odd as the F10 is a lot bigger than the E60, but BMW does make odd decisions from time to time. O well, this is another reason to hold on to my E60!

Yup, no more spare tires from BMW (at least in the next generation of cars)

My Ride: 2011 535i sport, perf pkgs, NRF Michelin
Default Nrf = heaven, rf = hell

To any Bimmer owners thinking of switching to non run flats:

Just ditched my runflats for Michelin Sport A/S3's on my 2011 535i sport/perf pkgs
OMG - night and day. heaven vs hell. I LOVE these new NRF tires!
Ride, handling, noise, braking - all are much much better.
Actually now like the BMW I thought I bought for handling and road feel.
That much difference? Yes! I love my car so much more now..........

It is indeed sad that BMW marketing BS presides over common sense engineering.
Even if BMW gave buyers a CHOICE between NRF/spare kit vs RF.........
Instead, we are stuck with baby buggy rubber tires that compromise the very
driving parameters we all buy a BMW for in the first place.

I know I am echoing a lot of threads on here with this, but just wanted to get my 2 cents in that it is indeed Heaven vs Hell difference.

I did buy the Bimmer Zone spare kit with jack, etc. and did try on the spare and drove it around the block and it worked fine.

HAPPY IN NRF HEAVEN

Will this fit on a 2013 F10 550 Xdrive with Msport Option?

Contacted them. Yes it DOES fit a 2013 with the Msport option. Ordered one today. Will post a picture of the install when I get it.
