Swedish magazine "Teknikens Värld" reveals all details about the new M5:
586 hp, 720 Nm torque, 0-100km/h in 4,4 seconds and a carbon fibre roof!

(I'm going to the newsstand to get a copy...)

Which it probably isn't...

This is probably old news, but anyway:
Rumours say that the bonnet and/or roof will be made out of carbon fibre.
Rumours also say that BMW might add the KERS system to the M5 - similar or same as the system in F1 cars.

In brief, KERS or Kinetic Energy Recovery System, draws and store energy during breaking to be re-used later in the form of an extra "power boost" through a push of a button.

A 4.4 second 0 to 100 kph time sounds way too slow for a 586 bhp car. The E60 M5 which has less bhp and much less torque has been clocked at faster than that. I am guessing that the F10 M5's 0 to 100 kph will be 4 second flat to 3.7.

As much as I love my M I must say there is so much awesome contained in your estimation of what this new M will do.

As I did with this M5 I will wait a couple of years and let someone else take the depreciation hit before I get one. I can't wait to see the new M though.
