Today I suddenly found the following video:
I'm absolutely stunned with the new Panamera Turbo S. Honestly, I don't see the reason why people would buy an M5 or anything else when they can save another 100,000 dollars to get the Panamera Turbo S and really feel like a king on the road. And though I'm a BMW fan, I have to admit that the new Panamera Turbo S is from another planet compared to the much more inferior M5.

But it's ugly.

It isn't. It's much more beautiful than the M5. And it looks unique and expensive unlike the M5.

The Panny Turbo S's exterior (the rear) is ugly. But its driving performance is unmatched in a large sedan. If I had the $200k to spend, I would get it as performance trumps looks in my book. The M5 is just a little over half the Panny Turbo's cost and I do not consider them to be peer cars

I was looking at these on the road here. I'd rather have an M5. But seriously, think about how you sound

"I don't see the reason why people would buy an M5 or anything else when they can save another 100,000 dollars to get the Panamera Turbo S"

That's not a very humble statement. Personally it's not an issue for me but perhaps some people cannot even fathom the idea of an M5 let alone spending another $100,000 on the Panamera let alone saving $100,000 to begin with. I'd rather give my money to people who are really in need than to blow it on an over-priced car. But if I were a billionaire, charity would come naturally and I still would not spend that much on a piece of metal, glass, rubber, and plastic.

They're not in the same class of cars but if you're looking for power...Seriously though,the corvette ZR1 with LS9 motor has 638hp @ 6500rpm and 694 ft-lbs @ 4000 and that's stock.

I find it ridiculous to hear that the M5 can't be compared to Panamera Turbo S because it's weaker... Oops!!! They can be compared because they weigh about the same, have about the same engine output and can accommodate the same number of passengers. But anyway I'd pay USD100,000 more in order to have the Panamera Turbo S which tramps the M5 or anything else (comparable, of course) with any respect be it ride comfort, handling, straight line performance or luxury. That's my point. Though I like BMW, I admit facts. As for being ugly, it's a matter of taste. But objective parameters can't be denied.

Interesting critique...coming from someone who has apparently owned neither nor probably ever will

Maybe. But my opinion is based on reviews, videos and lap times, and all of them speak in favour of Panamera Turbo S...and by a large margin.

Maybe? At least test drive both and then post YOUR, not someone else's, opinion.
Might have some credibility then
