Default 550i N63 engine issues

Hello everyone!

If you're experiencing the drivetrain malfunction which the majority of N63 owners experienced, heavy smoke or shaking at idle, then you likely need to upgrade your fuel injectors to index 12. This is done by performing what we call the CCP (Customer Care Package) here in the US. Which is actually a "recall". Anyways, other parts will need to be replaced along with the injectors, such as:

Hot-Film Air Mass Sensors
PIEZO High Pressure Fuel Injectors (INDEX 12)
Engine Vacuum Pump
Fuel System Low Pressure Sensor/Feed Line
Fresh Air Intake Turbo Seals
Crankcase Ventilation Lines (Hoses)
Timing Chain

Again this is the service bulletin for 4.4L V8 TwinTurbocharged N63 engine.

If you need help finding some parts in case your dealers aren't performing the CCP please PM me. I have a set of 8 fuel infectors index 12 and Hot-film air mass sensors.

Let me know if you need anything!

has bmw done anything yet with the cheap valve stem seals they use? which wear out and cause the engine to burn oil and smoke? this is something that should not be failing on such an expensive brand.

Bmw used cheap valve stem seals on the N62 as well and never did anything about it there. They have issued all dealers a complete tool kit in order to perform the job, and issued a bulletin. But they warranty everything else on the n63 so it wouldn't surprise me if they put the valve stem seals as part of the ccp. I don't know how anyone can differentiate between valve stem seals, crankcase vent lines, and the excessive oil all their turbos leak as to why the car is smoking.

And i believe mercedes has the same issue, except I think theirs is only caused from starting the car and shutting it off before the engine fully warms up. This results in a large puff of smoke on start up. They refuse to do anything about that either and say it's normal.
