Using 6 series diversity amplifier for the E61?

Using 6 series diversity amplifier for the E61?
Hey all,
Gonna put a spin on the wiring harness woes here. Does anybody know whether the diversity antenna used in the E63 will work in the E61?
As with lots of you, I've been struggling with the tailgate wiring issues for 6 months now, and recently redid the wiring. This gave me back most of my function, except key fob range was crap. I purchased the following E63 antenna because it was much cheaper, and looks nearly identical, save for having screws in the holes, and a different part number (6934485). It gave back fantastic key fob range compared to my old antenna, but the AM radio is crap now. Does anybody know whether they are indeed interchangeable? I wonder if they are, but the one I bought was "used" and possibly faulty.
