OK, Been thru many of the common inherent issues with our E61 wagons.,

Water trunk, pano roof drains plugged, pano seal replaced, tail gate wires broke _shorted_ fixed, etc:

Now got the tailgate hydralics , HKL module chase going on....

Tailgate works in one inch increments with each "hit" on the tailgate close button in the tailgate., each hit on the button gets me an auto response on the tailgate , but it's an inch travel / hit. I got to hydralic reservoir, could not find in my forum thread chase, what is full in the reservoir, fluid level is right across the center of the "+", What's full, Where's the filled line,

Or does anyone know , does this lean towards the fluid level , or the HKL mod.....

Any experience appreciated,

Got it.....I see now, fluid level in the "+" line is acceptable , If I read that right,

Has anyone had the symptom of tailgate "inching" with each hit of the button.,... I did have the wiring harness down for a long time and had to use the gate manual, In case that freeked something out...

Did throw a code - rear Lid Lift (HKL) (hkl_65_2)
A2B2 electronics, valve activation

do you have INPA installed? you could try activating the tailgate through INPA instead of the button

Sorry, not familiar at all with INPA. , so I'd have to say no.....
