Black Sapphire / Black Leather / bamboo.
Steptronic, Full Aero Kit, 35% Tints. 18" Run Flats.
All the goodies short of Active Cruise, Comfort Access and the safty options.
2002 BMW R1150R. Red, Corbin, PIAAs, Fiamm,
Driving ahead of me toaday I saw an X5 with modified tail lights. It looked as if they were tinted (well) or replaced with a set that only left 2 horizontal slits totaling about 3 inches high. Sort of like the F10 rendering on another post here.
It really looked great. Is anybody familiar with options to get this effect.
Thanks in advance for humoring the newbie.

Can't answer your question, but a quick observation: In a recent 5-series group ride I was behind a fellow 5-er who had tinted his rear lights (which includes brake lights). During some fast mountain sweepers, I often had to squint my eyes ahead and ask myself, "Is he braking?" (Yes, the tint was that dark.) IMHO, anything that minimizes (ex: slits, tint) brakelight visibility is essentially hoping that the guy behind you is really, really really paying attention.

Hence my "its better to look good..." crack.
But I think what bugs me most is the eyebrow effect of the back-up lights. If those could be made darker, I think I'd be happy, safe AND styling.
