You need to teach your kids "the rules" when they ride in daddy's car.

Hard to accomplish with a 3 or 4 y/o. I gave up with my first kid, I just clean the back of the seat from time to time.....after all it does clean up. ;-)

Similar here... Especially since we use our car to go to the mountains every weekend. I asked them to take off their boots/shoes as soon as they get in the car. Cuz they put their feet up everywhere.

Shoes and tracking in dirt and sand are easy to deal with. The food scenario is where it gets disgusting. I can still remember the blue cloth upholstery in my old Datsun with baked-on raisins under where the car seat was positioned.. ... and FORGET about spilled milk!

The answer is no food in daddy's car.. done.. that's what the spare minivan is for. Daddy's car is for making donuts

I am cracking up with everybody's stories!!!

I do let my girl eat, as long as they're dry things I can vacuum, like popcorn or cookies. After all, you can't really avoid it, especially on trips.

LOL!! In 2002 my then 4 year-old threw up in the back seat of my 1999 AMG E55, his mom was more upset than me...it is only a car, and you can clean it up....it is very disgusting cleaning it up, but it still cleans up.

Actually, I took it to a place to get it clean, then I further detailed at home ;-)
