Post a NEW picture(s) of your E61

Personal preference - but to me this looks perfect the way it is. The E61 is a big body car, so why make it look like the suspension collapsed under the weight? The way it stands now there's agility and poise, I think you would risk losing that. Anyway - great looking car!

Brake Caliper got a little paint and tape;
Now it stops at the blink of an eye
Combox retrofit;
amplifier and wiring will be cleaned up under the sheet, leaving only the cover of the amplifier is shown.
Browser on Finnis bmw forum, BTCF (bimmer tuning club of finland)
Xenon angel eyes;
35w 5600k, will be replaced 35w 8000k..
Last week I unscrew turbos of the car, and send them to shop..
After modifying capacity should be on somewhere ~500hp and ~1000nm.. but before that I have to find out where I can get bigger commonrail pump..

Matson - wow, sweet ride!
Couple of questions:
1 - What's this combox thing? Link to it?
2 - Did you really put HID angel eyes in there, or just LED ones?

1. Try google, for the better the answer ..but it's optional for f-series, never on e60/61. Most important/biggest things you get;
- bluetooth music streaming (spotify track chance from steering wheel buttons etc)
- video streaming from iphone with cable or snap in adapter
- internet web browser
- bmw live: google street view, weather forecast, photos etc
2. Yeas, h8 HID s + coding

For the H8, what's the coding about? With my LED angel eyes, no coding was needed...

Combox module costs somewhere between 100-250€ .. from ebay.
Here´s link to bmw coding forum, where is all information for that. Coding is not that simple for e60/61 series.. you have to convert your car to e91 and copy some lines there, and then convert back to e61/60 etc.. In my case coding took about 12h, (ok, including updating cic)
Your bmw is sending pulse electric to angel eyes, so if you measure, you get about 11volts (DRL on), and about 9volts when the parking lights are on. Really what yuo get is allways 14voltage, but power is switched off and on, so quickly, that it looks like you get 11 or 9volts. Normal halogen pulps can handle that and lights normally, so are leds with built-in capacitors who book electricity and deliver power smoothly LEDs.
But, hid do not stand up to this, especially in the lower voltage. That is, the light module must be coded to the car to send light to the normal DC voltage, and turn the voltage drop of when the parking lights turned on. Allso you have to code those "dimming" things of when you open or close you central locking.
And now my car is turning angel eyes directly on or off and giving smooth 14volts all the time. Brighter than any leds and way more cooler

Got it... Thanks for the explanation. I have the Lux angel eyes on my 335, and they don't dim when you turn on the parking lights, as they were specifically designed that way. I understand now why they dim in the first place.
The Combox mod looks a bit more than I want to tackle!
