Hallo Fellow E61 drivers

I have bought a USB HUB for my E61 2007 LCI. The only problem I have is I cant find the original lokation where it is supposed to be installed.

Anybody know where is should be mounted. I have the original bracket for it.

There are two places in our car where a USB stick can go. One is for direct listening (under the armrest), and the other (glovebox) is for downloading songs to the in-car hard drive. It's hard to give more detail without pics. Have you tried to find a manual of a later year? I've downloaded a PDF from somewhere - it probably has the locations in it.

Holtz did you end up finding where the location is? I think mine might be kaput.

+1 dead thread back from the dead! I have a 6FL audio package and my USB is greyed out. Thinking that the hub might be dead. Anyone know where it's located on the wagon? I've read in the trunk and/or under the shifter, but it seems to be from other models.

Can someone please take a picture of the usb location in the glovebox?

Not sure if this repair manual might help. It's got some stuff on the different modules and electronic connections.

My USB is not in the glovebox. It under the center armrest, along with the Aux input port. if you google image "bmw e60 6fl glovebox", a bunch came up, which might help.
