Rattle in engine bay
Any ideas what it could be as it is going in for service in the morning

My car is now in service the rattle has been around for a few weeks got louder over t
Also parcel rack cover is being fixed . This part is coming again from Germany .. Bmw service
All work is being done by Bmw dealership
Will post when fixed

My Ride: 2010 535 xi - M Sport Pkg & other goodies
Sounds like you went to dealer. My water pump just died, and I bought a German made OE pump from ECS Tuning and with my indy shop fixing it, I should come in around $1000 Cdn all in, vs. $1500 at the dealer. I saved $300 on parts alone this way. If I had bought all the BMW brand parts from ECS even, I'd have still saved $400.
Make sure to replace your thermostat too, since you're in there, as the extra time involved to do it is negligible at that point, for a $100 part that can fail later.

Warranty ... But after the sort of we know what we are doing attitude will follow up on indy guy next time
