Helix PP82DSP
Hello guys,
Have question for anyone who installed PP82DSPin their cars.
My car is 2008 wagon with Hi-Fi audio, oem speakers, just added PP82DSP.
First, gong is still pretty loud even after I lowered gain on all channels -5db.
Second - sound is definitely louder, but it's kind of not really clear, bass is not deep, highs are kind of muffled, could anybody send me their settings for equalizer?
Thanks!

Put it in this forum and maybe you'll get an answer. Posting in the E61 specific forum usually won't yield many answers.

I have the PP82 and it works great. What kind of setup do you have? OEM speakers and the PP82? Please clarify if you have any upgraded speakers etc. Also, can you post your current tune in a PDF and ill take a peak to see if anything pops out.

I have oem speakers, just added PP82DSP, works ok, problem is that gong is too loud, I flipped those 2 switches on the back to make it quiet, lowered gains on all channels -5db, but it didn't help much. My wifes e60 sedan has Logic 7 and it sounds waaay better, perfect bass, great highs, everything is just perfect. In my case the whole system is just louder, but doesn't sound that great at all. How do I save my tune in PDF? here is my setting file in *.afp

I'll check this out tonight and let you know if I need a PDF. Basically all you do it change the file extension and it saves as a PDF. Then upload, I can download and reconvert to afpx.
couple other questions. What kind of harnass(Technic?) are you using to connect the amp, and where did you purchase the amp, Crutchfield, a different vendor or through the classifieds?

Are you using Audiotec's version 2 software and that is why the file is .asp? For some reason I tried to download the software but I cannot get it to open your file. By any chance can you upgrade to version 3.3 and save as .aspx? I tried to convert and open in version 3 and it blew up.
One thing I read about this gong issue is that it should be adjustable through your IDrive settings. Have you tried that? One other item was that a person referenced that it worked for them while they adjusted via the IDrive while the gong sound was playing.
