Fault codes again!
A new fault code has appeard on the display, "Restraint systmes" and the red aibag and seatbelt lamps stays on! I know I should have a diagnosereader connected, but anyone know where the components of these sensors are located? so I can have a look at them. And does anyone have any experience with a codereader like the iCarsoft i910-II?

Restraint system issues
I had this warning pop up last summer, on my e61 6MT with sport seats. The codes ( I don't still have them) did not in the end point to the real problem, which may be unique to the sports seats. In my case, a wire in the seat back had chafed through and shorted out both the head restraint system in driver's seat and the overall computer that runs the whole restraint system. Took tech a bit to fully identify, and took me a bit to get my breath back on cost. Hope yours is simpler.

Wow, has it gone nearly 2 years since I started this tread? About time to get it sorted then. Idont use the car wery much, but now its time for the inspection, mot or what you call it. Yes I hope its not the seatmat and only some cable. I talked to a guy at a garage and he said we need to connect a diagnosereader to see, could be any of the airbags. Anyone know what diagnosereader I could use if should get my self one?

Belive it or not, still hav`nt done anything with the faultcode. But the car got thru the Mot without any remarks. They said however that the battery ibs cable was faulty and this is the cause of the faultmessage. So now I have got my self a reader Autophix ES910 and when I connect it, I scroll down to something that says: Airbag SFZ Satelite vehicle center.. and this says: 9AFF Resistance firing circuit safety battery terminal too high! Is this what causes my fault code? (Restraint systems fault) Anyone know what I need to sort out?
