oem fenders are $1300, these are $300. i dont mind using aftermarket for non vital body parts but i am concerned in terms of general quality.

Country of origin is China, so ya gotta wonder about the quality, especially the fitment. If I ever had to replace mine, I might be tempted. (After all, I already have the rep 166 wheels and an MTech bumper.) Did it once on an old Datsun. Fitment was acceptable, but I rattle-canned the paint job. I was young and foolish.

Are they just as wide as oem m5 fenders ? Or are they the same fitment as non m5 fenders ?

If they are as wide, does this line up with m5 style rep bumper or do you need to use OEM M5 front bumper?

Through getbmwparts (a company I order from regularly) the pair of OE M5 fenders amounts to $1008, and will likely qualify for free shipping. I understand the cost difference exists however going through all the effort of paint/installation is hard to rationalize if not using OE parts.

These fenders are not wider and will not work with the OEM M5 bumper.

Not sure what the point is if they:
1. Do not provide a wider stance.
2. Do not work with the OEM M5 bumper.
3. Are made in China and intended for a German car.

A recipe of stupidity and waste of money and time if you ask me.

I'm guessing that the O.P. is only trying to simulate the M5 look cheaply on a non-M car, so he's not likely to have the OEM M5 bumper installed. But your points are well taken.

While I agree with most here, my main usage would've been to have wider front wheels/tires if in fact the reps had wider wheel arches. Points 2-4 don't really bother me too much. However it doesn't appear to be the case here regarding width.

I did read another thread where someone spoke to Umnitza directly and was told their M5 rep fenders are indeed wider. However I have not seen or read Umnitza directly indicating that in any of the posts that I've come across.
