Default E61 iPod issue

Hi everyone. First of all sorry for my poor english…

I tried to look around, but I could not find a solution to a problem that is driving me crazy.

I bought a used iPod interface (the one that mounts in substitution of the CD changer in the front glove compartment), but I have the problem that I can not browse the various albums / songs in iPod.

Let's go step by step ... The configuration of my car is:
- BMW E61 520d of November 2009
- 6AA BMW TELESERVICES
- 6AB CONTROL TELESERVICES
- 6UH TRAFFIC INFORMATION
- 609 NAVIGATION SYSTEM PROFESSIONAL (CIC)
- 612 BMW ASSIST
- 615 EXTENDED BMW ONLINE INFORMATION
- 616 BMW ONLINE
- 633 PREP.MOB. PH. BUSINESS BLUET.INTERF.

iPod formatted FAT32. I also tried to cancel everything in iPod and charge onto it just one album to make a test, but without success.

The CD-changer replaced with the iPod interface has p/n 65129131850. The iPod interface that I installed has p/n 65410411033.

The problem I am facing is that, connecting the iPod and selecting CD/DVD, I can see in the car’s screen the various choices where before the various CD charger were placed:

choosing any option (playlists, artists, albums, genre, song) the system goes into "Please wait..." (“Attendere prego…” in italian) and remains in this status... I waited several minutes (almost an hour) but nothing happened! It plays a sequence of songs that always starts from the same point, but I cannot control anything.

The sw running in my car is not the latest version, the main screen does not show "Office" choose:

Has anyone encountered the same problem? Is a recoding needed because the iPod interface? I understood that the interface substituted in all the CD-changer, but maybe I misunderstood. Or maybe the fault is attributable to the iPod interface that can be faulty (the seller guaranteed it)?

Thanks to anyone who can help me out.
