Pre lci halogen to pre lci xenon
is it possible to put pre lci xenon headlights in my 06 525i that came with regular halogens by just coding or is there more to it?

If i'm not mistaken the Adaptive lights have a different Light Module, honestly though so many DIY on the internet doing this just search for "retrofit Xenon Adaptive" on google.

I have a 06 525i came with xenon from factory and did the lci retrofit. What i gathered during the process is the wiring for halogen and xenon likely to be different due to the pin position at LCM. You might wanna check out the wds for sure
