Default Philips Superslim 55w 6000k HID Xenon Canbus conversion full kit

Hi Guys,

I am planning to convert halogen H7 bulbs with HID ones for my 09/2008 530i E60 LCI. Headlights has projector housing already (for low beams). So just xenon bulb + ballast is missing.

I found this on the Ebay. Philips Superslim 55W 6000K HID Xenon Canbus Conversion Full KIT Brandnew H7 | eBay

Do you think this will be okay? Has anybody used it?

Thanks.

I don't think Phillips make aftermarket HID kits mate:

Fake Philips HID bulbs very common now, in fact on the internet most are Counterfeits

Forget that. Do this.

Voila all solved.

DDMTUNING.com Order (5000k) has a TOUCH of blue looks stock, get the capacitor canceller if you don't know how to do coding. Literally a hole here, a zip tie there and there, and plug and play.

Unfortunately I have bought it. I tried to install them yesterday. Bulbs work around 3 seconds at the start of engine (light switch is on auto) after that looks like car cuts the power. Same scenario at every car start. Bulbs work for only 3 seconds. Error comes up on the screen.

Any solution to that?

The car is looking for Xenon bulbs. It will only send a pulse, the car finds that the bulb isn't halogen and cuts out the power.

I can't help you beyond that... The HID kit comes with a capacitor which is an error cancelling device "fooling" the computer into thinking it has halogens but they are HID/Xenon.

Good luck.

I have attached a pictrue of what I have. Do you think this kit already has got that capacitor? I have marked 2 parts on the attached picture I thought maybe they are the capacitors that fooling to car's computer.

Those do look like the capacitors. But again not familiar with other companies products so if they sent you a defective ballast it is possible that you would get that error.

Mine was literally plug and play.

Strange part is that it works everytime when I start the engine duration of 3 seconds only.

If I buy a error canceller would it solve the problem?

Try turn them on first, then turn the ignition on.
