I'd be all over this in a heartbeat. Unfortunately no Motorola supported devices. But it got me thinking, the smartlink has a usb and an hdmi port so i wonder if a miracast adapter from belkin or google chromecast would work with this to allow non-mhl devices to also work. Would you have any way of testing that scenario?
This USB port is just for firmware update.
This Smartlink i think gives the usb and HDMI in one cable. As i understand,
the nicrocast the cables are splitted?

I've had this unit for several weeks now and it is pretty cool. I personally use iPhone but my friends with androids have been very impressed and love the unit when I connect their phones to it. I am still finishing up part two, but I uploaded how to install video on YouTube, part 2 will show case using it, which is why I haven't posted a thread for it yet, but here's a peak at the install. Any questions feel free to ask!

And I have used it with an iPhone 5s, as shown at the end of the video but you loose I drive knob control. Sound works great through just hdmi, but doesn't charge, you need to plug the lightning cable plugged into USB or the USB extension for it to charge. Using maps is cool as well as watching music videos.

Hey Roskinc, been watching your install vids, awesome man! I know the Dension Icon Drive isn't compatible with iPhone 5 yet but say if I just used an iPod touch, maybe tethered to my iPhone 5 for an internet connection...Do you think it would work okay? Also, do you like Icon or smart link better for iPhone users?
Spec-dock install looks seamless, definitely getting one of those too!
