2010 535i wagon, must have when I got my wagon were:
1- More HP via software or piggy back
2- New spark plugs
3- Wheel spacers
So I did have all those 3 to start with, by now I have a few more though.

My Ride: 2006 BMW 525ix (N52 Engine)
I don't mean to thread jack here but there's not a whole lot of options for modding these cars.
My question to you is did you buy an 525xi because you really wanted a 525xi? Or did you END UP with a 525xi?
Also do you want a car that will break necks? a high performing car? or a luxurious car?

Im opting out for a "breaking necks" car. Since if i end up trading in my 525xi for another E60 i can just swap things over. Im going to be keeping the car for about 4 to 5 years for sure. Unless something goes wrong. The 525xi is fun in the snow and awesome cruiser in the summer.

My Ride: 2008 535i
See I needed a car, I knew I wanted a E60. I wanted a 530i (545 was a no-no because of gas and my dad sorta talked me out of a 535, because of the twin turbos and maintenance). But at the time i couldnt find anything within the price range. So i found this 525xi, it was within budget and it already had some stuff done to it. Clean car fax etc. So i guess you can say I ENDED up with it. I do like the car still. Good balance of everything. It was just recent that i started thinking about performance mods. But that seems like a lost cause lol.

Good luck with whatever you choose!

One of the best mods I did was retrofitting CIC so that I could get an Android box that plugs into the display and lets me do Wireless CarPlay. I have it on all the time when I drive, never look at oem CIC screen unless I need to change a setting. The speech button on the steering wheel triggers Siri, the navigation is great. I also retrofitted the active backrest width adjustment and find I really quite enjoy it.
