Default Muffler delete on e60 550i

We cut off the rear mufflers and welded 2.5" stainless steel pipes. They are about 27" long. Gives the car a nice growl. Not too loud but not too quiet, just how I wanted it
car is a stock 2007 bmw 550i with sport package.
Edit: sorry I don't know how to upload videos I got the link from YouTube though.

I'm considering this as well. I intend on going with a RPI exhaust at some point or a custom dual but for now I want just a little more sound. I'm worried about interior drone as I sometimes have clients in the car so I've refrained from doing this... How is the drone and interior noise?

when cruising on the highway theres no drone, just enough to hear that v8
but around city its pretty loud around the 1700-2000rpm range which is usually where i have mine while driving in the city but seriously no complaints thus far. a $100 mod, and all my friends love it!

pretty loud around 1700rpm-2000rpm but other than that no complaints all my passengers enjoy it, and if you have music playing pretty loud, the drone at 1700-2000rpm isnt really noticeable. Yeah i was debating a RPI or magnaflow upgrade in the future, havent really decided yet.

I'm planning to do quad on mine. Heard lots of good thing about muffler delete, but just afraid it will be too loud for my kids. Do you keep the resonator, or delete it too? My other option is magnaflow or borla, with or without resonator? What do you guy think?
Thank you before hand.

i kept the resonator, i believe it would've been too loud. but there is drone around 1700-2000rpm but only if you're pressing on the gas, what kind of e60 do you have?

530Xi, I don't think it will be as loud as yours. Since it is only 6 cylinders, I am afraid that it would sound like those Japanese modded car. Then it would be a waste of time and money LoL
