The E61 cars with panoramic roof already has from factory the pull rods nr.7 (#51617147515 and #51617147516).
The E61N M5 uses a different system and it seems that cannot be used in conjuction with the nr.7 pull rods because they will cross below the fuel tanks. To use the M5 pull rods nr. 14 (#51618042815 and #51618042816) you will also need to buy the rear strut bars nr. 21 (#51618042818). The nr.21 will connect the nr.14 below the rear shocks. It also seems that the M5 cannot use the nr.7 pull rods because the M5 exhaust and diff.
The M5 system has more parts but will it improve that much over the pull rods for the cars with panoramic roof, to the point to justify the cost???

The pic below clearly shows that M5 diff don´t allow to use the nr.7 pull rods. In this case the nr.21 strut bars (fresh black painted) needed to be modified to clear the supersprint exhaust, which was made for sedans that don't use this bars. Stock exhaust go below the stock straight bar nr.21 (2nd pic).

Below there is a pic of a E61 with panoramic roof and a quad exhaust conversion. As you can see, the nr.7 pull rods won´t fit with the M5 diff.

IMHO, the nr.7 pull rods may offer a better rigidity to the chassis than the combo nr.14 and nr.21.

I don't feel too comfortable looking at the install pull rods attached to the original exhaust bracket; they sit too low and I'm afraid they may get hit by a higher-than-normal bumps or stuff on the road.I ordered the original M5 BMW OEM 18307836970 Exhaust Bracket/Exhaust Hanger/Parts. I will reinstall the pull rods using the correct bracket. You can see the indentation where the pull rods are screwed on flushed to the bracket; this way they're higher off the ground than the previous setup. I will take pictures of the install.
Correct parts installed and bolts safety wired.
Going to try and revive this thread!
I've got an e61 non sunroof and I've brought the no.7 panoramic bars and no.14 m5 bars from eBay, cheap.
I understand they might not fit together so which do I fit first? Anyone had experience with both? The no.14 bars look easier, looks like I might need to tap some holes for the no.7 bars.
Although I might try and mod/ cut them so they both fit.
