Hello everyone! I need some help with some upgrades I'm planning to do to my Idrive system.
Please don't flame me as I have searched for quite some time but I'm still not sure which way to go.
I have an 2006 530i with just mask and the small screen, no nav, no aux, just Bluetooth and it doesn't pair with my phone LG (android 6.0).
I want to add a Dension 500 and some sort of multimedia interface to add reverse camera and some type of navigation, I don't want to play dvds of any type of videos,
there are lots of products out there, some are expensive and some are reasonable.
your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

cic retrofit is one way to go, I just did still need some coding and a emulator to complete the retrofit. my car has the same M-ask unit like you plus aux

Gracias my pana, i was looking at this before, it looks nice but I'm not looking to have much of video other than rear backup camera and cell mirror, I also need to have at least one usb port for music on a flash drive.
Most of these mmi don't have usb, I would have to install a Dension and that would be an extra expense.

Could someone please tell me if the CHAMP Visteon headunit has USB capability? I got one in hand but could not see the port on the rear for USB port.


Also Can I use it with MASK screen or I have to change to CID?
