Default Graphite CF interior trim wrap (new photos)

Just picked up the E61 this past weekend and the stock wood trim was in desperate need of assistance to update the look of the car!

Here a number of new photos of the work...

I did not do it myself. I considered it, but figured this is something where experience pays off. A friend has a tiny/wrap shop and did the work. He used the 3M dinoc vinyl. He removed the dash trim and lower center console to wrap it, but did the doors and rear center console with it on the car. Came out absolutely perfect. A skilled pro really makes a difference. Cost was $250

Looks great! I've been thinking about doing the same thing....can you post more pictures? I'd like to see how your door panels came out.

I'll take a bunch more shots tonight and try to get a few close ups so folks can see how the edges turned out.

I didn't do the work. Took a pro installer about 3 hours to do it. This was his first e60/61 but has done a number of other bmw, porsche, audi interiors before. As noted above, he's good, and didn't need to remove the door trim pieces to wrap them. He only removed the upper dash and center console pieces which are simple to do.

Something else to note. He's not just applying this with the adhesive that is on the 3M vinyl. He's got additional adhesive that he applies to the edges for a stronger hold so the edges don't peel up. The vinyl can still be removed with no damage.

Here is his shop
