I used this comprehensive guide from Bruce Miranda https://5series.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=37592 to install additional front footwell lights and took some photos along the way to hopefully assist anyone else.
Any tweaks I made during the installation are in bold text.

Extra step : Disconnect battery in boot.

1. Remove plastic trim pieces from driver and passenger footwells.(pics below still have trim in place, I removed this piece after)
2. Remove glovebox.
3. Remove fuse panel from behind glovebox.

4. Remove the 54 pin plug X13252 from the light module behind the fuse panel.

5. Open up the 54 pin plug X13252 and insert two 61130005197 into positions 53 (right) and 54 (left). You will need to lift a side catch flap in order for the connector to go completely and snap into the plug.

6. Connect two blue wires to the ends of the connectors and then secure them carefully to the existing wiring harness using tape or ties.
(To join the wires I stripped 20mm off each side twisted the cores, soldered then taped over, scotch connectors or similar would be easier)
7. Run one blue wire across the center console to the drivers side footwell.
8. Attach two Eyelets to 2 pieces of Brown wire at one end each.
(The Maplin eyelets simply crimp on the wire, strip about 10mm of wire, insert and squash with pliers)

9. Attach one Eyelet behind one of the screws of the fuse panel for -12V on the passengers side. (I used the cup holder retention screw as it was clear out of the way)

10. Attach one Eyelet behind one of the nuts which holds another light module on the drivers side.(I used the bolt shown in the photo)

11. Run the blue and brown wires to holes in the footwell trim pieces that holds the light sockets.

12. Attach the blue and brown wires to four 61130005197 connectors.(Ignore the wire on the right, it's my glovebox aux direct connection to the amp in my boot)

13. Insert the blue wire connector into pin 3 of the UNIVERSAL SOCKETs 61138377072. Insert the brown wire connector into pin 1 of the UNIVERSAL SOCKETs 61138377072.

14. Put back everything letting the wires hang out of the holes cuts in the trim pieces where the lights go.

Extra step : Reconnect the battery

15. Connect the lights up and you now have footwell lights which come on with the other interior lights.

Hope the pics are of use & I know I will need to clean the footwells more now!

sorry to revive an ancient thread but I for the life of me can't find the parts for this. Does anyone know a US source to get the parts? I tried searching for the part numbers listed but it gives me not found.
