The FLRSBM1 remote start module installed in my car uses the factory alarm and key fob (Flashlogic - FLRSBM1). The Smartsmart module, an extension of the functionality of the FLRSBM1, will also arm/disarm the factory alarm. I'll know for certain when my Smartstart module is delivered and I activate it, hopefully, in a week or so.

Default smartstart

Yeah man, I just saw the FAQ. It does say 3g. I wonder why the customer service tech told me 2G?? Oh well, let us know how it goes! The install should be straight forward plug and play. Just call the seller after the install and they should activate it!!.

My procedure may not be the best way to connect it since I could not find a Flashlogic telematic port cable.
1. I bought the following cable online: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261352146660?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT . After receiving it today and attempting to install it, I found it having the proper connection to the blue, FLRSBM1 telematic cable but not to the DSM200 four pin connection. Since my DSM200 came with an extension cable, I cut the end of the extension cable that attaches directly to the DSM200 four pin connection, cut the red connection from one of the cables I bought on eBay and connected the two cut ends together , red to red, black to black, blue to blue, and white to green.
2. Concerning the ground and 12v, I have a Dynavin DVN-E60 touchscreen installed that doesn't use one of the original LCD connections. Since that unused connection has ground and 12v cables, I used wire connectors to attach the associated wires from the DSM200 to the brown(ground) and red (12v) cables of it. I'm sure there's another way, but I did what was familiar to me. I'll post pics in a bit.

Default Smartstart install

Here are a couple of pics showing my FLRSBM1 to DSM200 connections. I paid $24 to get it activated and then purchased the 3 yr subscription. So far, so good. Just remember that if you purchased the DSM200, get the Directed app and VSM200, Viper app. They look the same, but I was told that are not cross compatible.

Most of the features work well. Lock, unlock, remote start/stop, trunk open, Smartstart GPS, and SmartPark have all worked as expected with approximately a 3-5 second delay between pressing the command from the phone and the car responding. The only feature that isn't working is Panic.

Default PKE keyless entry

Thank for the write up xonreh.
I need a little help with this wiring diagram. Maybe you or another member can chime in with some knowledge on this process....

So I got the PKE2102T by directed electronics (allows arm/disarm lock/unlock walking towards car and getting out, walking away)

A local shop will do the install for $190. I can mount the 2 antennas so the only connections are going to be the from the analog port 10 pin connector. It shouldn't even be that hard since im not wiring pin 3 (horn) pin 6 (starter Kill) and pin 7 (parking light)

I NEED HELP WITH pin 1(-lock ouput) pin 2(-unlock output) pin 4(+door sense input) pin 5(+brake input) pin 10(-door sense input)

******Also*** not sure if those lock/unlock outputs should be ARm/DISARM since it opens and closes as well. (don't want alarm to sound if door unlocks without disarming!!

So here a few pics of the PKE module with the 10 pin connector harness and a wire chart for the colors.

Update..... sorry, just did a quick google search and found Bulldogsecurity.com ....
heres a snapshot. All wires identified... new problem..

1. How do I get the "double pulse" it says for factory arm/disarm at drivers door module plug(X10667) pin 13?

2. Where's Drivers door module plug? Under dash or inside door behind door panel?

3. Tell me if the the Door Trigger in the chart is where I connect the door sense wire from PKE?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Hey Xon and Juji,
Do you guy have a parts list for this mod? I know you guy using the Directed PKE2102T and what else to make it works with the Factory alarm system. Do you guy use the doorlock bypass module? such as ExpressKit DLPK - CANBUS MULTI Doorlock Interface module.

CANBUS MULTI Doorlock Interface module

I'm very interest in doing this mod. Just got a quote from a local installer. $600 parts and labor is kinda steep. $70 for the Directed DEI 2102T and $80 for the interface if you guys are using that. $450 for installation is a totally Stealer wanna be. I'm not interest in the Remote starter, just the passive door lock. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.
