Since no one is guessing what the boxes contain, I will just let the cat out of the bag...

Looks like they need some love. Are you sourcing the rotors elsewhere?

Indeed they do. They look a bit different from the picture provided in the auction link below, don't you think?

For those wondering, these are not M5 calipers. I wanted something that was bigger but could still fit under the factory 17" XDrive ET43 wheels so I opted for the standard 535i RWD upgrade. I was not sure they would without spacers, but they do and just barely...

The rotors are approximately 1" larger than XDrive rotors both front and rear...

I have only done the fronts so far. The rears require the same treatment as M5 rears so new hubs are coming.

Yes, they do look different. So these are E60 RWD rotors and calipers?

I know that the wagon gets smaller brakes than the sedans.

Correct.

As far as I know all Xi/XDrive models got the smaller brakes.

definitely occ and fmic next!!
ive only got 17,500 miles so occ ordered right now.
what suspension are you going with , I am pretty sure the only coilover for us is the KW V3
I too have a baby thats due in Jan, so congrats to you Biz77!!
im in the same boat between baby money and modding money haha!!
Great info in here Biz77, I can't wait to start adding some power to this thing. The 535 felt really quick compared to my old 330i but now I'm used to it. Crazy how much power you can get from just tuning.

"Baby money and modding money", the struggle haha!
I def hear you there lol

Great thread albeit a little old. Any updates, experiences or changes. I just got a 08 535xi with 70K miles and this is the most comprehensive build thread I have found thus far!

Congrats on the baby
I've been busy with my 1-1/2 yr old myself
I have not done anything to the suspension
I do agree with the oem sleeper look, i would like to lower but not to coilovers.
