Update:
Hooked up the MS-8 with RCA inputs instead of high speaker inputs and it worked great. The weird thing was with the high speaker inputs, the MS-8 was not putting out to the subs. However, with the RCA inputs it was finally having some bass!
The MS-8 is awesome! I got more bass from the stock subs than from the stock Hifi amp. While I have a slight hiss, I think it's more to changing input levels or getting proper ground to the MS-8. Right now I'm using the ground connection on top of the LCI tails. If I turn on my lights, there is a slight buzzing sound. The buzz goes away when I turn the lights off. Right now I'm looking for a proper ground point for the MS-8.
In the meantime, for those interested, here are Technic's recommendations for the MS-8 with the stock speakers:
- skip input setup
- Sub = 2, subsonic at 24dB at 40Hz, low pass at 200Hz at 12dB
- front = 1-way
- center = 1-way, 200Hz at 24dB
- sides = 1-way, 200Hz at 24dB
- rear = none
Underseat woofers = subs
Front speakers = front 1-way
Rear speakers = sides 1-way
Center speaker = center 1-way
Calibration volume = -23 dB
System volume = -3dB

System volume = -10dB made a huge difference in minimizing the hiss and buzz. I'm loving the new audio and CIC setup.
Only thing now...I just found out that my seat and steering wheel adjustments are not working. I checked the fuses for them and they seem good. Even ran a continuity test on the fuses.
I'm scheduling a coding session with Patryk regarding the service lights and he'll check on the seats as well.

Just an update. Everything is good to go! It turns out that one of the plugs below the CIC that has the DTC and other buttons (on certain models) was loose. I just plugged it in and the seats and steering wheel are working again. I'm loving my car more than ever. It's like a different "newer" car with these significant upgrades! The kids like riding with me now since they can now watch movies in my car AND with surround from the MS-8!
For those you are considering this retrofit, I would highly recommend getting them from Patrys (Patryk)! His knowledge and customer service are awesome!

hmm just to clarify combox install before i go out and order the box itself. I have phone working via bluetooth on my car now, TCU module is there and CIC retrofit done. Do i need to wire something from the trunk to the CIC?

If I recall correctly, my kit came with a wiring harness that went between the TCU and the existing harness that goes to the main fiber line. I would PM member Patrys since it all depends on your configuration.
