Transport mode is funny. car just holds the gear at 4500 rpm caught me off guard haha. with the JB4 continuos power throughout the powerband till redline. this is how the car should have been made.

Sorry for bumping such an old thread but what's the final word on AR design down pipes?

Worth the 1K price?

If you have a RWD then no. There are a lot of options out there if you don't have an XI. However if you have an XI currently the ARD dp's are the only ones that fit.

I have an XIT. What else can I upgrade at the same time as downpipes to save on labor?

I have an e61 too unless you want to do the turbos/inlets theres not too much you can save on installs. I have a set of ARs and I love them! Just don't love the price... haha

Great pipes though!

Maybe replace the vacuum lines since the rear leg is a PITA to replace. Other then that besides a turbo swap or as 5wagon said inlets there isn't really to much performance upgrades to do to save on labor.

For what it's worth, VRSF downpipes for 535i fit perfectly. If you live in southern CA, Engineered Applications in Vernon CA ceramic coats in black for $160. Best Care Auto in Westminster CA installed them in 2 hours. Tricky part was getting the v-bands off.

With catless DPs installed, I got the dreaded waste-gate rattle on stock turbos. With 120k miles, I'm thinking about upgrading to Hexon RR600 turbos with RB inlets, then JB4 soon after.

Apologize for being off topic, with Hexon being fairly new to the game, has anybody heard of issues with any of their n54 turbos?
