Anyone interested in this Group Buy? Maybe if we have enough people, the vendor will be willing to throw us an offer....

Been reading the 59 pages thread and felt pretty comfortable that this can now be done right

Please respond to my thread and says you're in...I have also started similar thread on E90post in the I-drive section (I did post in E90 since it is one of the most active forums).

Thank you...

Could you explain exactly what it is? I saw a few huge threads on it and couldn't follow it exactly. I have an 09 535xi (has the new idrive controller but not the newest software)....also approx how much would it cost to upgrade my system? And is it really worth it? Thanks for any help.

I did this mod last summer. Be careful. There's a lot of price gouging out there...
It would behoove you to do your research thoroughly both on parts & coding. Happy hunting!

What would be the most wise move? Buy it all from one vendor or bought the items and then have the good vendor code it and activate it? So we have 2 party interested now....need more people here

If the price is right, I would be down for this as I just have the 6.5" screen that well...just...sucks! I've been reading up on coding, but I was born under that bad sign and if it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. With that said, I'd end up with a big brick in my driveway most likely. I'm confident with installing the parts, but coding it is my fear so if everything can be done as a package deal then I'm in!

I'm interested, but can you please clear something up for me? So are we just buying the parts or actually having it retrofitted. I contacted Patryk a while ago and he told me of a person who installs the retrofit in NJ (which is where I live currently ) which is what I was going to do after buying the parts etc from Patryk. But if this is just that with a discount, I'm in!

Thanks.
