Default 2006 BMW E60 Headlight control switch trim part number?

Hi guys,

First time poster here but have been a silent reader for a bit.

I have a 2006/2007 Pre-LCI BMW E60 with M-sport (RHD vehicle) and the trim around my start/stop button (and headlight control switches) is peeling and I was looking at buying a replacement trim.

I have attached a few pictures of the trim I am referring to. I believe the trim is separate from the start/stop button and the headlight control switches but for the life of me I cannot located the part number for the trim on realoem.com!!

I have attached a few images of the area I am talking about. I am only looking for the trim.

Thanks!

You may want to check out realoem.com. It should help.

I HAVE checked realoem.com with no success. I checked almost every single category there with nothing that matches. Hence why I am asking if anyone has better luck lol..

vehicle electrical system >> switch (61 35 group of parts)

it's in that diagram. I'm looking at the one that goes to my car as I type this. should be around $50.

Thanks for your reply! but here's the thing, i've already checked there for my car (RealOEM.com * BMW E60 540i Control element light) and you can clearly see from the picture that the switch they have doesn't have the hole for the start/stop button (if you look at the pictures in first post, you will see that the start/stop button and the headlight control switch have a single piece of trim around them). The switch depicted in realoem.com doesn't seem to have that.

The switch in realoem is the correct one for LHD cars (headlight control switch and start/stop buttons are on opposing sides of steering wheel). But in RHD e60, they are on the same side and have the same trim. realoem is incorrect even when i selected RHD.

What are the last 7 characters of your VIN.

have you thought about just plasti-dipping or wrapping it yourself? mine is starting to look a bit rough too, not sure which route im going to take yet.

Hey here,

last 7 characters of VIN is CN91420. The picture on RealOEM is definitely incorrect.

I would wrap it but its a bit of a hassle to have to wrap everything else to match it. Also, I've only very recently gotten a new factory trim piece for the steering wheel as it was peeling as well. Looks great and new now! Only have that headlight control switch left to find the trim for but seems to be impossible to find .

Thanks
