Renting the mighty M5

I am going to be renting the M5 for a 1500mile run all over California 
. I currently drive a 530i and the car rental company had concerns regarding my ability to drive an SMG. Apparently the M5 ends up at the Shop a lot because people are unable to manage the SMG.
Should I be worried? I am pretty good at driving a stick so I am presuming SMG would be much more easy and fun... any suggestion guys?

It might be a bit jerky at first but you'll get used to it quickly.
And how about letting us know where you'll be in CA so we can come out and meet up?

You guys still are on his case for that incident ... hilarious !Atleast now you can tell the guys at Infinity that you drove the M5 for 1500miles as they wouldn't give you the m3 for a 15km drive
