M5 oil level sensor
Hi there... My M5 oil level sensor is not displaying the true oil level. It seems to be stuck at 0.3, even though I've added full synthetic specially formulated to be expensive BMW oil, it still reads 0.3. Is my sensor faulty?

The car needs almost 30 minutes of driving to arrive at a correct reading for the oil. If it still shows 0.3 after a few days, then i would suspect faulty sensor. good luck.

The car will need a bit of driving around for it to recalculate. Sometimes I'll add oil in and I wont get a correct reading until i get home after about 45 minutes. If nothing has changed and its been a few days its probably the sensor.

ok first
1. oil should be 10 / 60 castrol TWS.
2. stop adding oil in case your engine will be over filled up it will effect the gasket
3. press rest and keep the car on or drive it, both way it will give you the level
if not i guess you have to change your oil level sensor
