Vacuum Pump leaking oil. How common?

My Ride: 2005 545i Sport 6MT
I noticed that my vacuum pump is leaking a good amount of oil. How common of a problem is this? 400$ + at the dealer. Anywhere to get it cheaper?

i noticed mine is leaking also. 550i
i was wondering though if my pump was actually bad, or is there just a build up of oil mist in the pump? does the pump use the the cranckcase fumes?

there doesnt seem much to the pump.

add me to the list. just took mine in yest after seeing oilf for a week or two...and voila its the vacuum pump...only 60,000 miles on my car
