Default Underseat Woofer ohms?

Does anyone know how many ohms the underseat woofers are? I took a look at mine to see if it was on the label but it isn't. I have an '05 525i with HiFi. Part number on the woofer is 65136929101

Got it...

When ordering in the selection menu select standard hifi that's what u need.

Guessing u don't have logic 7 which is (premium top hifi).

That's what I selected when I ordered because I looked up the specs on my car (S676A = YES)

But they have 2, 4, and 8 ohm subs. I was sent 2 ohms but am getting a lot of distortion. Not sure if it's because I was sent 2 ohms when I needed 4? Don't know if the ohms have anything to do with it. Have not yet heard back from them about this yet.

Neither did I, but they sent me a separate email the day after I ordered mine and they listed if I have issues it could be because I was sent the wrong subs. The part number on my subs are different than what's listed on realoem.com though, which is weird.

But does anyone know if the ohms actually have anything to do with it?

Yes, if the sub amp(s) are for 8 or 4 ohms sub(s) then putting a 2 ohm will cause the amp to distort due to the higher amp draw for the sub.

I have a 2010 with the hifi audio but have different part numbers. Mine were 40 watt and 2 ohm. I assume yours would be the same.

To be quite frank with you, I highly doubt you will notice any improvement by upgrading the underseats. You really need to upgrade the amp. Then if you want bass, like real bass, those underseats will not deliver. If you want mid-bass then you are going in the right direction, but you need to upgrade the amp.

Below is a link to a post I made about my upgrade. Since this I have added a second amp to power the two subs

I went on Bimmertech's website and when I put in my vehicle information, they did not have any amp upgrade options for it.

I was looking at Focal and Rockford Fosgate, but both were quite pricey. I heard about BAVSOUND and nothing but amazing things about them. They were also cheaper so I went that route. They sound great don't get me wrong I'm just bummed at the distortion from the subs.

But is there a way to find out what my amp/woofers specs are? I have an older model 5 series compared to you skrelnik, it's an '05. I'm sure the components were improved or upgraded between pre-lci and lci models, hence the different part numbers.
