Default sos malfunction

i keep getting a sos malfuction code and i cannot setup my phone via bluetooth
can someone please help the notification is reallyl nerve racking

It probably took you longer to register than it would have taken you to google the issue. I found it in less than 10 secs. Also when you post on a forum and you want help the year, model. mi, and trans is a good start to asking a question. you might just neeed a new TCU

There is a known issue with some models SOS function. Depending on the model you have BMW was offering, at one time, a free fix to the faulty part with the SOS subscription. There is an SIB you may be able to find. Not sure if that is still offered. Something about a fault memory chip as I recall.
