Just found the Shell M1375.4 ATF from LandRover dealer - $32.45 + tax per quart. Dealer is located in 2144 Washington St. Hanover, MA 02339. Definitely not cheap !!! A typical drain/refill for my 530i would need about 5 quarts ==> $162.25 + tax.

I've decided I want to change my atf in my '06 550 since it has 70k miles. I emailed Ken at Bavauto, and he is telling me only Shell M1375.4 will work in my transmission and it is only avail at the dealer and costs $570. Granted the size the container is good for several changes, I don't need/ want to store extra ATF for an unlimited period of time.
Is there not a comparable ATF on the market? For the people that keep their cars long term, what are you using?

Pentosin Transmission Fluid
As someone else already mentioned, a really good place to get the fluid and filter/pan kit is RM European.

I recently bought a case (12 qts) of Shell 134 ATF for $66 from GH Berlin Oil Co. in Manchester, NH.
Shell 134 is for my MB C280.
I will call them and find out if they sell M1375.4 spec ATF.
