Even in cases of no recall, there is a good likelihood there is a 10 year warranty. So free, and the dealer will do it for you

I have great news!!!!!!!!!!!!
After contacting Transport Canada, who got in touch with BMW for clarification on the recall situation, they in fact did mention that my car was not part of the recall. HOWEVER BMW acknowledges that this is an issue and my passenger seat is under a 10 year warranty

Took it in today and it should be done around 5:00pm.

My thanks go out to you...mullenc525 for all your help in providing the process to getting this done, thanks to Transport Canada and lastly BMW for the repair!!

Called Transport Canada today and they were not able to help me. They said it was Vin specific and that they don't deal one on one with consumer and business.. I decided to called the local Dealership up and asked them if I can bring my car in for the occupancy seat sensor problem and that if my car still has the 10year warranty on the seat occupancy sensor. Guest what! I am bringing it in this week for Battery terminal recall and seats occupancy free of charge! lol. Thanks guys!

I have a 2004 545i with comfort seats.

My car was already covered by a 10 year warranty so it was done a few weeks ago.
