Default Reversed Cables Jumping Battery

I let my 16 year old brother drive my car to take a girl on a date he left a ligth on in the car and reversed the cables when he jumped it . After he jumped it alot of problems started happening.

-Windshield wipers wont stop going i have to pull out the fuse in the glove box to turn them off
-no lights when you open car door
- no locks or windows working
-non of the stering wheel buttons work.
- safety restraint lights on in dash

Car drives and starts fine these little things are annoying the hell out of me

thinking off getting a new battery asap i checked most of the fuses and there fine. Alternators fine

anyone have any ideas of what might be the problem? or what i should do next ?

One [or more] of the fuse is blown. Check fuses in the trunk.

Try disconnect battery (neg cable) over night. If it doesn't help, get the codes read ..

I dont think anyone needs to tell you how incredibly sensitive these cars are and it is not recommended to jump from vehicle to vehicle in any manner. Battery pack only or charge battery disconnected.

But... since that doesn't matter at this point. Check every fuse first. Glove box, trunk, engine E-Box, under seat if applicable. Disconnect the battery for 24 hours and charge it as stated above. Take it to your local auto parts store and have them use their digital battery analyzer to test it. This will test to make sure there are no bad cells along with many other items. secondly when that all checks out put an analog multimeter on your running car with battery reconnected and watch the needle. If the needle is steady 13.x+ volts it is likely fine. If it wildly sweeps back and forth you have an issue with the alternator. Remove it and also bring to auto parts store for testing. Once you have a baseline you can work from there. I have had poor experiences with aftermarket batteries in these cars, i would stay OEM. Remember to register it if you do replace it. Yes it does matter.

Let us know what you run into.
